Locks Tab

If an object type can lock other objects, the Locks tab will be made visible. This view shows which other objects the current object owns locks for. The table shows the ID of the object that is locked as well as the lock type (read or write). Rolling over each row will display a pop-up providing details on the locked object. Clicking on a row will load the locked object details screen.

Deleting and Releasing Locks

If you have the correct permissions (edit and delete locks), you will be able to delete or release a lock by clicking on the right-hand chevron. This is a useful super user level function should you wish to clean-up a failed job, for example.

Multiple Locks: Flex Enterprise plugins

Enterprise plugins acquiring multiple locks are supported. If the job requires multiple objects to be locked, External Lock mechanism will attempt to acquire all object locks at an atomic operation. If any lock is not available, it will not acquire any and it will register for notification. When the object is released, it will try again to acquire all or none. This operation is repeated until all locks are acquired in an atomic operation.

Note: Multiple locks are only supported with Enterprise (non-JEF) plugins, and JEF or non-JEF jobs will participate on the lock mechanism.
