Moving and Shaping Items
Moving Items
There are several ways to move items on the canvas. Before you can move an item, it must first be highlighted. Moving operations can be carried out on one highlighted item or multiple highlighted items.
Drag and Drop
To drag items around the canvas, highlight them and use the mouse to drag them.
1) Hold down your left mouse button on one of the highlighted items.
Moving Transitions
If you move two nodes joined by a transition, then the transition moves in the same direction that you move the nodes. In addition you can move the start and end points to different nodes altogether.
To move a transition, follow these steps:
1) Highlight the transition, and it turns red.
2) Select the end of the transition you wish to move by clicking on the black box (nearest its connection point to a node) and begin dragging.
3) Once the box you are dragging is over the node you wish to connect the transition to, stop dragging. The transition is then connected to the new node.
Arrow Controls
You can also move highlighted items around the canvas using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
Mouse Wheel Controls
You can move highlighted items up and down using the wheel on your mouse (assuming you have one). Simply select one or more items and once they are highlighted, roll your mouse wheel upwards and downwards.Alignment and Layout
Click on the Grid button to display a grid that makes it easier for you to line up your items horizontally and vertically. When this mode is enabled, the Workflow Designer snaps items into place next to the nearest grid lines vertically and horizontally.
